Father's Day Gifts

Hi everyone! I absolutely love Tara from 4th Grade Frolics and I cannot believe I have never linked up with a Monday Made It! So this week.. is my first!! I am very excited.. I hope none of my students' fathers are reading my blog right now because it will give away the gifts that myself and my students compiled ;) I really don't mind having school through the end of June because that way we can celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day!
So even though I did not in fact think of every craft that goes along with the Father's Day gifts, I am so excited to show you the overall picture and some fun freebies too!
The first idea that I came up with were these cute cups from the dollar store.. sometimes they even have them 2 for $1 but I wasn't so lucky this time! I bought 2 blue, 2 white, and 2 red (yes I only have 6 full time students!) and had them choose.  They were each grateful to get whichever color! I told the students who wanted to paint more on their cup to choose the lighter colors.
I bought these paint markers for the kids to draw on their mugs - I found them at Michaels! I was looking on the website and couldn't find them, but I did find them on amazon.com... Check it out:
Along with these markers, you definitely need a sealer of some sort: I have found this Acrylic spray works the BEST to hold the paint in place and make sure it doesn't rub off of any surface.  The only mistake I have ever made with the spray is spraying too close.  A little goes a long way, and it seals it for long lasting results!!
The crafts the kids created came from THREE amazing FREEBIES ! Free!
You must check them out, and leave them some feedback for their hard work if you choose to use it :)

I was so excited to find this "Greatest Dad" diploma from the Activity Village: Click HERE to check out any diploma for a friend or family member! Kids can color the award themselves and I printed them on cardstock AND laminated them : )

I also found this adorable Father's Day coupon book in the shape of a tie! This FREEBIE comes from Savvy Second and Sixth Graders!! The kids were excited to make up coupons for their dads and decorate their ties and choose from 3 different designs!

I really "app"reciate you! freebie comes from Middle Grades Maven! Her products are so amazing and this product really interested my kids because who doesn't love apps and ipads?! We laminated them and made them look like an actual tablet.   You can see them sticking out of the gift bags!
I hope you enjoyed our father's day gifts!! Let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Really cute! I wish I had seen this earlier in the year, but may make these for something else. Do you teach special education?

  6. Love those father's day gifts. Those fathers are going to be so appreciative. I really like the idea of decorating the coffee mug. This would be a great project for me to do with my three boys. Thanks for sharing and I'm your newest follower.
