Piano Recital, End of the Year Balloons, Summer Math

I was very happy to have had my second annual piano recital last night.  I currently teach 10 students at my school, and I have one lovely 8th grader and one beautiful 3rd/4th grader that I teach outside of school.  Piano was a lot of work this year, but it was well worth it.  Ever since my own second grade teacher taught me piano, I always knew I wanted to do that "on the side."
It was a packed room with probably 60ish people there, so it was wonderful for my kiddies and their families to see their musical talents.  Below is a picture of me after the recital was over with. It was a hot day in New York yesterday!!

These adorable End of the Year Balloons are a freebie that comes from the wonderful, talented Panicked Teacher.  Click HERE for this amazing free product!!

Check out the lottery ticket "plants" that I gave my boyfriend's mom and stepsister for their birthdays.  A cute and fun gift that you can give on any occasion.  All of the materials (the flower pot, tissue paper, marbles, and stirrers) were all from the dollar store! The lottery tickets I of course got at our local gas station ;) but I hope you this enjoy!

I finally got my Summer Math Pack up on TPT and TN! I am very excited since I will be using this during tutoring over the summer : ) Summer Math Pack Grades 3-4 covers topics from 3rd grade as well as introducing 4th grade material.  This 35 page activity unit includes the math topics of rounding, decimals, multiplication, word problems, a little division, regrouping, adding by 3's, area, place value, and more.  The total number of pages is 67 because of the answer keys and reference pages : ) Check it out; you won't be disappointed!
First 3 to comment with their e-mail addresses will get this product for free ;) Ready, set, go!
Thank you so much for being a follower and for all of your support XOXO

First Year Bliss Linky and a New TPT Shop

I am linking up with my lovely friend Michelle from The 3AM Teacher.  She is too sweet to me and I just love her products and designs.
I don't really have one specific memory that I have loved during my first year of teaching.. I think I began in February, so it has almost been a year for me as well :) The only thing that really makes my heart happy about blogging is meeting all my wonderful, wonderful blogging friends that have been so kind to me... I started out with Tara from K-2 is Splendid when I taught with her last year.  I started TPT first, and she told me, "You should get a blog" I checked hers out and LOVED IT.  She had the amazing designs of Ladybug Files who I just adored!  I remember starting out and saying "Geez I just wish I had 20 followers" and now I have over 200, almost 300 :)
Some wonderful, wonderful people have helped me out over this time.. I love you all!!

I was also very excited when I had this post on my blog:
http://lovetoteach123.blogspot.com/2012/05/freebies-and-teacher-appreciation-week.html
It featured some freebies and my Teacher Appreciation Week.. I had pinned this Lottery Ticket Bouquet and on Pinterest, I have received over 700 repins! Definitely my best :)

I have definitely grown more in the last couple months than I have in most of the year.. I guess that means I learned a little bit, right? My head is spinning to create more, blog more, and share more, but it is so difficult to find the time. I feel like I am getting a sore throat and feeling under the weather today, and I am STILL on my laptop.. I can't help it :)

Honestly though, love you all.. thank you for everything and all the happiness you have given me over the year!!! :) Congratulations, Michelle!! You truly are a superstar!

I will leave you with a wonderful TPT shop that I have recently found... Her name is Felisa Williams and she is wonderful!! I love her freebies, perfect for the upper grades and for teaching things like lines, line segments, angles, rounding, multiplication, and more.  Please make sure you check out her store!! :)

Freebies and Teacher Appreciation Week

If you have not checked out 3-6 Free Resources yet, you definitely should! So many amazing educators that I am honored to collaborate with and post our freebies :) I just created a new one, and I would love for you to check it out on our site here!!

If I had more time, I would make so many units and freebies a week.... but I am just burnt out right now! Sometimes it is discouraging if one of my products is rated "less" than I would think, but I know I just have to keep trying and do better.  A fellow teacher found a mistake on my Money Matching Freebie and I was devastated like "How did I miss that?!" But it happens :) *It is all fixed though, so please check it out!*
Sooo on a brighter note, Teacher Appreciation Week has been going AMAZING for me.  Parents really do know how hard teachers work, and I am blessed to have the best parents ever (seriously).

They gave me a lottery bouquet yesterday (I only won 5 dollars, but hey! It's something!) and a Spa gift basket (gift cards and bath stuff) today.. I also received beautiful flowers from one of my piano students as well.  Our recital is at the end of May, I am pretty excited about it because it is something that I put together that I am proud of (and that the students are too!)

I am SO blessed!!! Have a wonderful night everyone !!!
