Oh, Yvonnee, I am so mad, because I tried to pin a few things from my blog on my kindle fire, and I messed it all up (I typed in the wrong password/code like 20 times, and then it blocked me!) :( I am still waiting for them to fix it!! But thank you for trying, and best of luck!!

DeleteMy students love when we play "Comprehension Basketball!" We have a basketball hoop up and I have a little foam ball. When we read a story sometimes we will play basketball, where I will ask comprehension questions about the story, sometimes literal, sometimes inferential, and sometimes opinion (depending on the student's ability). If the student answers acceptably, he/she will get to shoot a basket. They love this and pay attention simply for the opportunity to play!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love games like Go Fish, Uno or Bang which are programmed with sight words or phonics skills. :o)
