After Christmas Freebie

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.... Christmas is my most favorite time of the year because of the excitement of the children and being able to give to my loved ones.  I was able to give thoughtful gifts to my loved ones, friends and family, and my new friends of my adopt a family xoxo... best gift I have received in a long time.  And I couldn't have done it without the help of all of you who donated.  Thank you! Such a special day it was!
It's so hard for me after Christmas... all that hard work.. and it's done.  The worst is how badly I have been eating so I need to definitely accept defeat and get working out and eating better... It's a must, but it's going to be HARD!

I hope you all had such a special holiday with your families and friends... it can be a difficult time for many who have lost loved ones [but remember they are peacefully with God] and who have been through difficult times... but I hope you all found happiness in this holiday.. whether celebrating with many loved ones, or celebrating alone.

Here is an after Christmas FREEBIE on TPT : ) It contains a few writing prompts that I plan to use with my kids after winter break ends.. here is a sneak preview! Hope you enjoy!!

Christmas Spirit

I love this time of year... it really is my most favorite.  I love the happiness and joy of giving... the Christmas songs, decorations, and most of all, the happiness of the children.  The ONLY thing I do not like about the holidays is how huge I get from eating all the sweets... I cannot help myself, but hopefully one year I will get it right ;)
Our Christmasy door

Our cute crafts!

Our sweet stockings

My sweet kinders snug under their blankets!
(both from Rachelle Smith!)
I made some yummy cookies

And got a sweet surprise from a coworker :] (K-2 is Splendid)

Check out my latest freebie - counting cards by 5's... perfect to review counting to 100 :]

I hope you are all enjoying your time with your students before your break! Any great plans? I need to start working out, see some old friends, and take some time to myself..
Thank you to all my friends who have donated to my Adopt A Family.. you have all been SO GENEROUS and have showed the true meaning of Christmas. Although I don't have a lot to give, I have a lot of heart and I am so happy and fortunate to be able to do this each year.  XOXO

Have a great night!

Santa Claus is Coming Town

So excited to show off our Santa Claus's that we made today : ) I absolutely LOVE Deanna Jump's Christmas Unit because it is filled with fun activities for math and literacy.  She is very detailed and knows what the kiddos like!

Something else that I have fallen in love with is the wonderful Rachelle's Holidays Around the World Unit.  This is worth every penny and definitely focuses on the basics and importance of holidays in many countries.  You can click HERE to purchase Units 1 and 2 bundled at a discounted price!

Clogs from the Netherlands

The poinsettia from Mexico

And just for fun, here is my Lily after her bath yesterday.  Poor thing.. but she's so good : ) And then lets me (tolerates me) blow drying her so she's not a shaking little peanut!

I also baked cookies... yum! It's always important to take time for yourself (ha, I should take my own advice!) especially around the holidays : ) Take care, love you all!

My Christmas Unit is on Educents right now! 43% off! I hope you can check it out : ) Click HERE if you would love to purchase it on TPT... ho ho ho!

Happy Thanksgiving and Adopt a Family

Happy Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for with all of my loved ones.  I am so happy to be 28 years old and to have learned so much and have worked so hard just over the past few years.  I am thankful for growing and learning from mistakes.  I still continue on my journey and I know that God has a place for me in life.  I am so thankful for all of you that have helped me on my teaching journey as well... it has been truly wonderful.

Here are a few things me and my kids have done over the past week for Thanksgiving :]

First of all since my kiddos learned all of their letter sounds, we had an Alphabet Celebration! They stomped on balloons to find a letter of the alphabet and we celebrated with songs of  that specific letter.  We made Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees with the letters in their names, and we made words with scrabble cheezits! They had a lot of fun : )
We made Thanksgiving Wreaths and with the extra paint I made a special tree for one of my kiddos in the classroom... I never like to waste ;)

My adorable sweeties also made their own butter for Thanksgiving! I made them corn muffins (which they HOUSED.. so cute!) They were so proud and I was so proud for them :]
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Chanukah Everyone!!

Stay Tuned for the Cyber Monday and Tuesday Sale on TPT :] I will be having my sale through Wednesday as well... If you go Black Friday shopping tomorrow, be careful! I will be going with my bestie like we always do...one of our favorite days of the year xoxo
(Cute graphic made from the amazing Jennifer Jones from Hello Literacy)

I also wanted to express that I am doing an Adopt a Family for a single mom of 4 children - nursery, pre k, 2nd grade, and 4th grade... I am taking donations to my Paypal account to make their holiday season wonderful.  This mommy always has a smile on her face, has a heart of gold, but also no family to help support her.  If you would like any more information please ask, I didn't want to be to specific in case she looks at my blog [which I figure she doesn't, hehe]
My paypal e-mail is Laur1110@yahoo.com .... even a few dollars help.  If you do decide to donate, do not hesitate to e-mail me for any teacher product you would like from my store.  Bless you all! XO
